UK Wii Launch Coverage - from Wii UK
Written by James Hobbs

Today has probably been one of the most disgustingly frenetic experiences of my life. Missing trains, making lots of phone calls, running around London, and to top it all - leaving my gloves on a bench at a train station.

Apart from the afore-mentioned mishaps, the launch party at HMV in London went absolutely swimmingly. We had a fantastic time, and we have a incredible amount of respect for the devoted fans who queued outside for hours - we got bloody cold within a few minutes. The excitement was palpable, everyone was having fun, and there was an atmosphere present that would rival even the finest gig.

So, it is with great pleasure that I present you with our video and photographic coverage. Simply click the following links to be taken to an archive of over 20 photographs of the event, or to our video report. Instead of pandering about arse-kissing celebrities, we spoke to the most important people - the guys in the queue. Thanks for talking to us - whilst some of you were frankly unhinged, it made the night a bit more bearable when surrounded by obsequious photographers and their ilk.
